Fiber line extender
The MegaCell ATM fiberoptic line extender and converter enables transmission of ATM, SONET, and SDH data at rates from 34 to 400 Mbit/s over distances as long as 120 km--allowing asynchronous-transfer-mode switch and router plants to be extended beyond local networks. The equipment also allows dissimilar fiber types to be connected and regenerates optical signals.
