July 2013, Auburn, MA – PI has expanded its manufacturing capabilities for high-load hexapod 6-axis positioning systems, increasing capacity for complex, application-specific motion platforms.

The expanded production resources support hexapods designed to position heavy components with high accuracy in six degrees of freedom. Capabilities include mechanical design, precision assembly, metrology, controller integration, system tuning, and application-specific testing.

High-load hexapods are used in aerospace, defense, astronomy, semiconductor manufacturing, optics, and industrial automation, where large payloads must be aligned and moved with exceptional precision.

The expanded manufacturing capacity enables PI to support larger programs, customized designs, and demanding production requirements from prototype development through series production.
