SiC photodiodes detect deep-UVC wavelengths

Oct. 10, 2024
Silicon carbide (SiC) photodiodes detect wavelengths from 220 to 358 nm.

Silicon carbide (SiC) photodiodes detect deep-UVC wavelengths from 220 to 358 nm. Their visible light or solar blind properties ensure they are unaffected by ambient light. They are available in a hermetic TO-46 metal can (MT12-001) and an ATLAS hermetic surface mount (SMD) package (MTSM1057SMF2-046).
