The F-100T/E Version 6.2 fast pulse amplifier-discriminator processes pulses from photomultiplier tubes or electron multipliers. The single piece of equipment can replace a preamplifier, linear amplifier, and a lower-level discriminator and is compatible with most rate meters, counters, and timers. The hand-sized device has a sensitivity of 50 to 100 mV, emits either TTL or ECL pulses, and can handle a maximum pulse-repetition rate of 100 MHz.
