The VS255 and VS825 cameras are designed for use with quantitative polymerase chain reaction instruments, the most commonly used systems for detection of the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus. The scientific charge-coupled-device (CCD) cameras have reduced dark current for optimal sensitivity and image quality. They have integrated cooling and custom firmware and software.
