PRESS RELEASE
AutoQuant Version X2.2.1 Image Deconvolution Software Offers Windows 7 Support and Improved File Formats
Bethesda, Maryland – December 21, 2010 - Media Cybernetics announces the release of
AutoQuant Version X2.2.1 image deconvolution and 5D visualization software which is now supported in Windows 7.
In addition to Windows 7 support, AutoQuant X2.2.1 has improved file format handling to make working with your original images easier than ever.
Enhancements have been made to a number of file types including:
- Ability to save ND2 files after modifying dimensionality
- Ability to play through LIF time lapse files
- Accurate time data in OIF file reader
- ND file writing that corrects time naming convention
The AutoQuant X2.2.1 software package includes the life science industry’s leading image deconvolution software. AutoQuant users can retrieve better data from their images using the most complete suite of 2D and 3D algorithms available, including advanced Fixed and Blind Deconvolution algorithms which are both iterative and constrained for best results. The Blind algorithm possesses the popular time-saving option for obtaining point spread functions (PSF’s) without the need of obtaining bead images. Also, improvements in the newest version X2.2.1 have resulted in a new confocal algorithm better tuned to images where proper Nyquist sampling or over-sampling is used. Results have proven to be more quantitative and reproducible.
Along with the most advanced deconvolution tools available, AutoQuant includes the stunning 5D visualization tools capable of visualizing large image stacks with channel and time data preserved. The 5D viewer makes it easy for users to bring complex datasets to life with the use of flexible viewers capable of inspecting details at the perfect angle.
Version X2.2.1 is now available to current customers who own AutoQuant X2.0 and higher using AutoQuant’s True-Update technology at no additional cost. Computers with access to the internet will be able to download and install the patch via the “Help | Check for Update” option. All customers with earlier versions to X2.0 are encouraged to take advantage of this excellent upgrade opportunity.
