Chromacal version 1.1 image calibration software from Datacolor (Lawrenceville, NJ) for brightfield microscopy features an automated white balance capability to help avoid the need for subjective post-processing to balance color in images. The software can capture images in .jpg and .tif file formats, allowing microscopists to use the .jpg format in environments where reduced file sizes are critical.
