Fiber-optic Raman probe by BaySpec
PeakFinder fiber-optic video probes from BaySpec (San Jose, CA) feature optical filtering of 106 for efficient attenuation of the Rayleigh line to yield background-free spectra. Three excitation wavelengths—532, 785, and 1064 nm—are available, and the probes couple to any common spectrograph design. Additional features include a polymer-encased fiber-optic cable; 105 µm excitation with a FC/PC or FC/APC connector; or 200 µm excitation with a FC/PC or SMA905 connector for coupling to most laser/spectrograph combinations. An optional video camera can be integrated with the standard fiber-optic probe to show a video image of an excitation laser spot, and a manual safety shutter (with built-in calibration standard) shields the user from the laser light.
