The Progeny handheld Raman analyzer from Rigaku Raman Technologies (Burlington, MA) has a miniature volume phase grating (VPG)-based 1064 nm optical engine to minimize fluorescence interference in pharmaceutical applications. Features include a 512-pixel indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) detector, ultrafast quad-core processor, and a wavelets-based spectral match algorithm.
