Visualant closes $5M in funding for spectral pattern-matching technology
Visualant (OTCQB:VSUL; Seattle, WA) has closed equity funding worth $5 million, led by Special Situations Technology Fund, to help unveil ChromaID, a spectral pattern-matching diagnostics and identification technology.
The $5 million round provides the company with the financial means necessary to scale manufacturing of F12 ChromaID development kits and also build specialized ChromaID products for the developer community, allowing the making of a new generation of consumer and industrial devices. The company is also a Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE entrant, and is currently developing a portable, wireless device that uses its ChromaID technology to monitor and diagnose a wide range of health conditions.
The company will file its 8K with the terms and conditions as per regulatory guidelines.
