Cooperation to enable lab-on-a-chip and embedded diagnostics for clinical, life science applications
Plastic microstructures maker CDA GmbH (Albrechts, Germany) and Häcker Automation (Schwarzhausen, Germany), which produces universal standard platforms for 3D micro-packaging and interconnection, have entered into a cooperation in the fields of lab-on-a-chip and embedded diagnostic systems for clinical and life science markets. The goal of the cooperation is to provide medical technology, micro-sensors, and microelectromechanical systems (MEMs) devices to its customers.
The two companies' expertise in micro-optics, printed electronics, and precision engineering together with microsystem manufacturing and 3D interconnect assembly will enable lab-on-a-chip and intelligent embedded diagnostic systems that demand an interdisciplinary and fully integrated manufacturing approach.
