Plastic microstructures maker CDA GmbH and Häcker Automation, which produces universal standard platforms for 3D micro-packaging and interconnection, have entered into a cooperation in the fields of lab-on-a-chip and embedded diagnostic systems for clinical and life science markets.

Plastic microstructures maker CDA GmbH (Albrechts, Germany) and Häcker Automation (Schwarzhausen, Germany), which produces universal standard platforms for 3D micro-packaging and interconnection, have entered into a cooperation in the fields of lab-on-a-chip and embedded diagnostic systems for clinical and life science markets. The goal of the cooperation is to provide medical technology, micro-sensors, and microelectromechanical systems (MEMs) devices to its customers.

The two companies' expertise in micro-optics, printed electronics, and precision engineering together with microsystem manufacturing and 3D interconnect assembly will enable lab-on-a-chip and intelligent embedded diagnostic systems that demand an interdisciplinary and fully integrated manufacturing approach.
