The laser, which delivers 532 and 1064 nm wavelengths, uses the company's PicoWay technology to deliver picosecond pulses. Its high peak power and ultrashort pulse duration enable strong photomechanical impact to break up tattoo ink or pigmentation.

At the IMCAS Asia Conference on August 1-3, 2014, in Hong Kong, dermatology specialist Dr. Henry Chan, in a talk titled "The Use of Picosecond Lasers on Asians," presented the interim results of a multicenter study focused on treating pigmented lesions with PicoWay.

The company will begin a staged launch of the laser in the international market during the third quarter of 2014 and anticipates that it will receive FDA clearance by the end of 2014.
