The Revolution DSD spinning-disk confocal imaging unit from Andor Technology now pairs with Metamorph MX microscopy and image analysis software from Molecular Devices to perform analysis of acquired images.

The Revolution DSD spinning-disk confocal imaging unit from Andor Technology (Belfast, Northern Ireland) now pairs with Metamorph MX microscopy and image analysis software from Molecular Devices (Sunnyvale, CA) to perform analysis of acquired images. An integrated morphometry analysis (IMA) module in the software enables measurement and separation of objects into user-definable classes, and a multi-dimensional acquisition (MDA) module guides through setup of each acquisition dimension (time, z, fluorescent channels, and stage position), storing and recalling all settings for later use.

Andor Revolution DSD now supported by Metamorph NX

Belfast, 16 February 2012 – Andor Technology plc (Andor), a world leader in scientific imaging, spectroscopy solutions and confocal systems, today announced that they have come together with Molecular Devices to combine the latest in confocal imaging technology and software platforms, for the ultimate user experience.

Andor’s Revolution DSD is a simple confocal imaging unit that can be fitted to most microscopes. Metamorph, from Molecular Devices, is an internationally renowned imaging software solution used by researchers in thousands of laboratories. The recently released Metamorph NX offers a new intuitive interface with efficient imaging workflows, and so is the perfect partner for the Revolution DSD.

This development will help bring confocal imaging into the researcher’s laboratory with the minimum of effort.
