UV silicon photodiodes from OSI Optoelectronics have uses in many applications
Ultraviolet (UV)-enhanced planar diffused silicon photodiodes are designed for low-light-level detection in the UV spectral range. The UVD photodiodes peak at 970 nm and UVE planar devices peak at 720 nm and suppress the near-infrared. They are suited for applications in medical instrumentation, pollution monitoring, spectroscopy, fluorescence, water purification, and UV exposure meters.
