Renishaw calibrator measures six degrees of freedom

The XM-60 multi-axis calibrator for machine tools measures six degrees of freedom from a single setup in any orientation for linear axes, and captures angular, linear, and straightness errors. It is based on a laser system with optical roll measurement and fiber-optic launch system, using a remote laser to reduce heat at the measurement point.
