PerkinElmer adds Raman spectroscopy with Avalon acquisition

PerkinElmer, Inc., provider of Health Sciences and Photonics products, announced the acquisition of Avalon Instruments Ltd. The acquisition expands and complements PerkinElmer's Molecular Spectroscopy product portfolio by adding a family of innovative bench-top dispersive Raman spectrometers.

Boston, MA--PerkinElmer, Inc., provider of Health Sciences and Photonics products, announced the acquisition of Avalon Instruments Ltd. (Belfast, Northern Ireland). The acquisition expands and complements PerkinElmer's Molecular Spectroscopy product portfolio by adding a family of innovative bench-top dispersive Raman spectrometers.

The Avalon Raman platforms support both bulk analysis and microscopic imaging, enabling scientists and technicians to gain more information about their samples with excellent reproducibility.
