The rIQ refractive index quantification system analyzes glass-trace evidence in forensics labs, including simultaneous refractive index measurement of multiple glass fragments. The automated system uses the thermal immersion method, defined by ASTM E1967, to measure the refractive index of microscopic glass fragments.
