Corning Semiconductor Materials Launches New Web Site
Corning's Semiconductor Materials Business has launched its new Web site, www.corning.com/SemiconductorMaterials. The redesigned Web site now features all of the units within the business, including Corning Tropel's Precision Optics and Metrology Instrumentation businesses.
"The new Web site highlights our materials manufacturing capabilities, including HPFS fused silica glass, calcium fluoride, and ULE zero expansion glass," said Bob Sell, manager, marketing and strategy development, Corning Semiconductor Materials Business. "Also, the addition of Corning Tropel's businesses to the site offers visitors a clear picture of the capabilities of Corning's Semiconductor Materials Business."
In addition to a new look, the Semiconductor Materials Web site features a tutorial that shows how Corning's materials contribute to the making of an integrated circuit. The tutorial covers the microlithography process, describing the Corning materials involved in each part of the process and explaining Corning's role in the industry-wide push for smaller, faster, and more powerful electronic devices.
Through the combined expertise of its Corning Semiconductor Materials and Corning Tropel business units, Corning is a leading supplier of optical materials, precision optics, and metrology instruments for the semiconductor industry. With sales offices around the world, Corning manufactures fused silica glass in Canton, NY, and Charleston, SC, and optical-grade fluoride crystals in North Brookfield, MA. The ultra-pure materials provide extreme optical clarity and durability, and are used in the manufacture of today's most advanced integrated circuits. Corning Tropel manufactures optical subsystems and advanced form metrology instrumentation in Rochester, NY. More information is available at www.corning.com/SemiconductorMaterials.
