• SBIR contract awarded for eye-safe laser

The Wright Laboratory Avionics Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (OH) has awarded a Phase I SBIR contract to LaSen Inc. (Las Cruces, NM). The project is to develo¥the LaSen optical parametric oscillator laser and optical parametric amplifier laser technology for a variety of frequency-agile laser radars operating in the 1.5-4.0-µm wavelength region (see Laser Focus World, April 1995, p. 46). Other applications in remote sensing for environmental monitoring will be investigated as the technology advances.
