Two-micron lidar system
An eye-safe, diode-pumped 2.02-µm coherent laser-radar system emits 3.5-mJ, 500-ns pulses at repetition rates of 200 Hz. The device provides a wind measurement range of more than 5 km, a hard-target range of more than 50 km, and velocity resolution of less than 1 m/s. Applications include environmental and pollution monitoring, airport wind-shear monitoring, meteorological research, or hard-target measurements. The system comes with software, including a real-time color-coded graphics package.
