The Hybrid Photomultiplier (HPMT) replaces the conventional dynode chain with a silicon chi¥and resolves u¥to 14 photoelectron peaks instead of three. This capacity enhances photon detection for applications such as Raman spectroscopy, luminescence measurements, and particle detection. A special HPMT version can operate in magnetic fields u¥to two Teslas.
