Lamppumped Ti:sapphire laser developed for lidar

Aug. 1, 1994
An allsolidstate differentialabsorptionlidar (DIAL) system based on a flashlamppumped Ti:sapphire laser is available from Elight Laser Systems GmbH (Berlin, Germany). Developed in cooperation with the Free University of Berlin, the laser is designed for lidar applications, which, the company says, require an extremely robust laser with broad tunability and high energy.
