Radiometer

March 1, 1997
A portable radiometer and pen probe that matches human-eye response can be used to measure brightness of CRTs or back-lit displays. The IL1400A Radiometer and SPL025Y Luminance Pen Probe used together can operate over a 10-3 to 2.5 ¥ 106 fL dynamic range at wavelengths from 400 to 700 nm. The radiometer runs on four AA batteries. The probe has an apertured hood that allows use for either luminance or contact-luminance measurements.
