The IOSPEC miniature optical spectrometer is optimized for the 1.2- to 3.2- and 2.0- to 5.5-µm spectral ranges with the possibility of operating in the far-IR. The system uses an IR slab-waveguide structure to integrate the input fiber, optics, and detector array. Optical propagation loss is less than 0.5 dB/cm at wavelengths from 1.3 to 6 µm.
