TIC supplies systems for medical and materials-research applications, as well as semiconductor metrology and inspection; customers include Leica (Wetzlar, Germany), Nikon (Tokyo, Japan), and Reichart (Vienna, Austria). Sales for the year to date are hovering around $9 million, more than twice the sales figure for all of 1995. By doubling its manufacturing area over that of the San Jose facility, TIC expects to increase production to fulfill the current $8 million order backlog.
