Fiber power meter

Sept. 1, 1996
The Optical Verifier 1 operates as a fiberoptic zero-set power meter, a dual laser-light source, an LED source, a visual fault locator, ORL, or a talk set. The hand-held instrument is designed for telecommunications and related applications. Both 1310- and 1550-nm lasers are incorporated, as are 850- and 1300-nm LEDs. The 1.25-lb instrument runs on four AA cells. With NiCd batteries, the instrument can run for 8 h before requiring recharging.
