ASL announces Strategic Alliance with Triangle Research
Bedford, MA, June 30, 2004--Eye tracking technology developer Applied Science Laboratories (ASL) and Triangle Research Collaborative (TRC; Research Triangle Park, NC) have formed a strategic alliance to integrate ASL eye tracking systems with TRC synchronized video analysis solutions.
TRC's Observational Coding System Tools (OCS Tools) synchronize data from ASL's modular eye tracking systems (ASL 5000 Series) with multiple data sources to provide integrated video recording and analysis technology for a broad range of research applications. These applications include medicine, sports, human factors, software and web design, usability, market research, training and education, virtual reality and simulation, moving vehicle and pilot workload measurement, as well as many other research areas. The OCS Tools are available in both analog and digital video hardware and software configurations that feature synchronized recording, data collection and analysis, as well as MPEG compression, remote control of cameras, VCRs and integration with other technology employed in video research and editing labs.
"We're excited about this new alliance with TRC," said Robert Baer, General Manager of ASL. "The impact of eye tracking research is growing in a wide variety of sciences and business sectors that rely on time-study research and analysis. OCS Tools extend the functionality of ASL eye tracking systems by adding video recording synchronization, compression and control, enabling the efficient collection and use of eye tracking and other data needed in the research environment."
