PRESS RELEASE

Infrared (IR) OD 4 Bandpass Filters

Offer Excellent Durability for Harsh Environments

Single substrate dielectric construction ensures easy maintenance

July 15, 2011, Barrington, N.J. -- Edmund Optics (EO), the premier provider of optical components, introduces new Infrared (IR) OD 4 Bandpass Filters. These versatile filters provide the high transmission and deep rejection necessary to isolate narrow spectral regions for use in a wide variety of applications.

Center wavelengths of 2.7 - 5.3 µm

Infrared (IR) OD 4 Bandpass Filters take advantage of a single substrate dielectric construction, which ensures carefree maintenance and allows these durable filters to be used in harsh environments. These IR bandpass interference filters have a diameter of 25 mm and provide center wavelengths of 2.7 - 5.3 µm. They are ideal for use in environmental monitoring, security and FLIR applications, and are especially suited for gas analysis.

Ideal for Gas Analysis
Bandpass interference filters are excellent for use in a variety of biotech, biomedical and quantitative chemical applications. They selectively transmit a narrow range of wavelengths while blocking out all other wavelengths. Interference filters are perfect for use in instrumentation, and for a wide variety of applications including clinical chemistry, environmental testing, elemental and laser line separation, fluorescence, and immunoassays. These IR bandpass filters feature >OD4 blocking with center wavelengths optimized for analyzing water vapor, ethanol, formaldehyde, CO2, CO and NO. Edmund Optics' Infrared (IR) OD 4 Bandpass Filters are in-stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround and excellent value.
