Coherent Solutions is new name for Southern Photonics
Auckland, New Zealand--Photonics test equipment manufacturer Southern Photonics is rebranding itself as Coherent Solutions ahead of OFC/NFOEC in Anaheim, CA (March 17-21). The rebranding follows the evolution of the company over the past two years to focus its product portfolio on solutions for the photonics test and measurement instrumentation market.
Andy Stevens, who was previously the Chief Operations Officer for Southern Photonics, will become the new CEO of Coherent Solutions. He says the company is set to grow on the already established global reputation and relationships of the Southern Photonics brand as an OEM supplier, and will continue to produce specialized photonic instrumentation products extending past the optical communications sector into other applications that require the generation, characterization, and analysis of optical signals and pulses.
During Q2 of 2013, the company will be moving into a much larger headquarters and manufacturing facility.
