Munich, Germany, January 31, 2003. electronicChina, an international trade show for components, assemblies, electronics production and laser technology, will take place March 12-14, 2003, in Shanghai, China. electronicChina, organized by Munich Trade Fairs International, will expand to include SEMICON China, an existing show focused on semiconductor industry.
For the first time in China, the entire electronics spectrum - from electronic components to manufacturing technology and services - will be displayed together. When electronicChina debuted in 2002, it attracted more international visitors than any other trade show in China. More than 15,000 visitors from around the globe are expected to attend in 2003.
More than 300 exhibitors from leading companies worldwide will be on hand to display electronic components, production, photonics and power electronics products for the rapidly growing Chinese market.
electronicChina and SEMICON China will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), which was specially built in partnership with Munich Trade Fairs International.
Southeast Asia is the largest market for electronics components and accounts for nearly $85 billion in production volume. In 2002, it also established itself as the leader in passive components and is the only region in the world expected to report positive growth for the year.
Once again, electronicChina is being held in conjunction with PCIM - the China Exhibition and Conference on Power Electronics, Intelligent Motion and Power Quality. PCIM China brings together leading international experts in these areas to discuss the latest technical developments and applications. English interpretation is available at this event.
In addition to Munich Trade Fairs International, electronicChina is co-organized by China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC) and ZM Communications GmbH.
