Intense appoints Graham Failes as new COO

March 17, 2005, Blantyre, Scotland--Today, the optoelectronics solutions provider Intense announces the appointment of Graham Failes as Chief Operations Officer. Failes will take up his role in April 2005.

He replaces Don McDonald, who is returning to his home in the USA for family reasons, and will continue to support Intense on a consultancy basis. "I have really enjoyed my two years with Intense, working with the team as it moves from development through to volume manufacture," McDonald said.

Failes joins from BAE Systems where he was Director and General Manager. Failes has a wealth of experience in general management and has held senior management positions in BAE Systems and Hughes Microelectronics Ltd.
