APA Optics reports losses in 1995
For its 1995 fiscal year, APA Optics Inc. (Blaine, MN) reported losses of $468,681 on operating revenues of $2,028,485. The loss represents a reduction of almost 40% over the 1994 figure of $763,672, while overall revenues dropped 5% from the 1994 figure of $2,129,804. Anil K. Jain, CEO of APA, attributes the slight decrease in revenue to start-u¥research and development work and delays in contract negotiations, noting that the FY1995 order backlog for the company was roughly $4 million.
