Linenarrowed operation of an excimerlaserpumped optical parametric oscillator (OPO) has been demonstrated by a team of researchers at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland) working with engineers from Lambda Physik (Göttingen, Germany). The opticalparametricoscillator (OPO) output is linenarrowed over its entire tuning range from 350 to 2600 nm; linewidths as low as 0.5 cm1 have been achieved.
