Picosecond OPO produces highpower transformlimited pulses

Feb. 1, 1995
Also reported at the ASSL meeting was a new tunable, highrepetitionrate source of highpower picosecond pulses demonstrated by researchers from the University of St. Andrews (St. Andrews, Scotland). The device, which is tunable from 1.15 to 2.35 µm, is based on a temperaturetuned LiB3O5 optical parametric oscillator (OPO) that is synchronously pumped by a selfmodelocked picosecond Ti:sapphire laser.
