SFIM repurchases defense optics unit from Matra

In July, Matra (Velizy, France) sold its defense optics and electrooptics unit to the Société de Fabrication d`instruments de Mesure (SFIM, Velizy, France) for an undisclosed amount. The sale was seen as part of the general restructuring of the French defense and space industries. The 106person grou¥will stay in Velizy but has been renamed SFIM Optronique pour la Defense et le Spatial and will be owned by SFIM`s optics subsidiary REOSC (St. Pierre du Perray, France).
