Communications Systems acquires Automatic Tool & Connector

    To enhance its fiberoptic-components services, high-speed data-communications provider Communications Systems Inc. (Hector, MN) has purchased Automated Tool & Connector Co. Inc. (Union, NJ) for $3.1 million in cash and stock. Automated Tool produces fiberoptic connectors as well as interconnects and coaxial cabling for the medical, telecommunications, and computer markets; Communication Systems Inc. produces on-premises voice connectors and high-speed data-communications systems.
