Laser-materials and components market seen expanding
The market for laser materials and components is projected to grow from a 1995 annual level of $551 million to $879 million by 2000--an annual growth rate averaging 9.8%, according to a Business Communications Corp. (BCC, Norwalk, CT) publication, Growing Markets for Laser Materials and Components. The diode-laser-component segment, including drivers and laser optics, will see the most rapid growth, at 14.2% annually, while the instrumentation market will grow the slowest, at 5.8% average, according to BCC.
