Systran Corp. Under terms of the agreement, DY 4 Systems Inc. (Kanata, Ontario, Canada) will develo¥rugged Fibre Channel hardware based on Systran`s PMC, PCI, and VME6U FibreXpress Network interfaces. Ruggedized versions of Systran`s Network Transparent Switch and associated FibreXpress, NTS Port Cards are also planned. Systran and DY 4 said they will work together to provide ruggedized hardware with a high degree of tolerance for environmental conditions that are beyond the operational specifications of standard commercial electronic devices. Immediate beneficiaries of the agreement are expected to be military organizations, which require the high-bandwidth, low-latency communications provided by FibreXpress in environmentally harsh, physically strenuous, and interference-plagued environments.
