• Optical-shielding-devices contract awarded to Geltech

    Geltech (Orlando, FL) has been selected by the University of Central Florida Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (Orlando, FL) to create a new generation of optical limiters based on Geltech`s sol-gel glass-fabrication technology. The limiters allow transmission of low-intensity optical images while blocking transmission of high-intensity light. The passive devices will contain microlens arrays and porous optical substrates. Initial uses will be primarily military.
