The HSB50 skin temperature blackbody infrared (IR) calibration unit has a fixed emissivity setting of 0.98, designed specifically for calibrating IR temperature sensors to measure human skin temperature. The NIST-calibrated unit has an emitting area of 72 mm2 and accuracy of ±0.05°C at 98.6°F (37°C).
