PRESS RELEASE

Crystal Lake, Illinois – New Age Imagers LLC is pleased to announce the release of its Stinger Raster Engine laser control module. The Stinger allows laser system manufacturers to utilize industry standard Harlequin RIP (Raster Image Processing) software to directly control a laser engraver.

The Stinger Raster Engine combines dedicated software and electronics that are capable of driving an ultra-precise motion system. Paired with a suitable laser and high quality optics, the Stinger can move large raster image data sets directly and efficiently, yielding extremely precise pixel placement on the media. This new technology will greatly enhance the capabilities of laser engravers used in both CTP (Computer-To-Plate) applications and high quality raster marking applications such as portrait engraving.

Since the Stinger is driven by a Harlequin RIP, controls for handling features such as line screens and ink dot gain are accessible in a manner that operators, craftsmen and artists are familiar with. The Stinger Raster Engine is comprised of a control module and RIP interface with I/O ports to control all required peripherals. An Engineering Development Kit is available for purchase from New Age Imagers LLC. For more information, please contact Jeff Campbell at 802-747-2430 or visit www.NewAgeImagers.com.
