Design software from RSoft allows simulation for 100 Gbit/s
Optical Communication Design Suite version 5.2 includes OptSim and ModeSYS. It lets users simulate systems for 100 Gbit/s, including polarization-multiplexed QPSK with coherent detection. It also supports polarization-induced all-optical switching, bidirectional Ethernet in the First Mile, multimode with mode-coupling effects, plastic optical fiber, and interferometry-based systems.
