PRESS RELEASE

Entangled Photon Generation and Measurement System

NuCrypt, LLC has developed a unique system of instruments for generating polarization entangled photons, and for measuring the resulting quantum state by manipulating the photon’s polarization and processing the photo-count statistics from multiple single photon detectors. The system is computer controlled allowing for sophisticated measurements such as two-photon interference fringes or quantum state tomography to be automated. The polarization entangled photons are separated into two fiber-coupled output ports and can travel through dissimilar lengths of fiber before being detected. It is possible to detect the two photons in different locations and collect the results via a standard optical channel to perform true entanglement distribution. The devices are useful for research and applications development in quantum information.
