President of Edmund Optics Named President of AIA

Edmund Industrial Optics of Barrington, New Jersey, has announced that John Stack will be named President of the Automated Imaging Association for 2003-2004. Stack was elected by his fellow members of the AIA Board of Directors to succeed Mike Kelley, whose term of office ended on Thursday, February 6.

Barrington, NJ. Edmund Industrial Optics of Barrington, New Jersey, has announced that John Stack will be named President of the Automated Imaging Association for 2003-2004. Stack was elected by his fellow members of the AIA Board of Directors to succeed Mike Kelley, whose term of office ended on Thursday, February 6.

Stack is the President and COO of Edmund Industrial Optics, a leading supplier of optics and electronics imaging products. Over the past 13 years, Stack has held several positions with Edmund including: Applications Engineer, Optical Design Engineer, Vice President of Engineering and Executive Vice President.

During this time, Stack has designed optical and machine vision systems for a wide variety of applications, including: semiconductor metrology, biometrics, pharmaceutical packaging, automotive assembly and biomedical systems.

An active supporter of AIA, Stack has served on the Board of Directors for 2 years. His knowledge of the machine vision industry and his dedication are important assets for the association. "The mantra at AIA has always been 'how do we bring value to the member companies'. I am very proud to be continuing this tradition as the new President" says Stack.
