    Bellingham, WA--In efforts to boost its education outreach mission, SPIE will be supporting optics- and photonics-related education outreach projects through a grants program.

    Bellingham, WA--In efforts to boost its education outreach mission, SPIE will be supporting optics and photonics education outreach projects through a grants program. Applications will be judged on their potential to impact students and increase optics awareness, which are due on January 31, 2012.

    Applicants from not-for-profit organizations such as universities, optics centers, science centers, primary and secondary schools, youth clubs, industry associations, and international optical societies are eligible for project support. Qualifying projects must have the potential to impact students and to increase optics and photonics awareness.
