Cincinnati, OH, May 23, 2002 -- Rockwell Laser Industries (RLI), a supplier of laser safety products and services, has been granted the "Approved Course Provider" status by the Board of Laser Safety (BLS). As a result, many of the RLI laser safety training courses will fulfill the prerequisite requirements needed by a candidate in order to qualify to take the certification examination for the Certified Laser Safety Officer (CLSO) program offered by the BLS. In Addition, the RLI courses will be applicable for ongoing certification maintenance (CM) points.
The BLS was initially established late in the year 2000 to provide a professional pathway by which those with Laser Safety Officer duties could become professionally accredited through a formalized examination process, thus earning the designation of Certified Laser Safety Officer.
