Machinery calibrator

For $12,000, the portable LZR3000 laser-interferometer calibration system offers in-house machine calibration. The system measures accuracy, repeatability, straightness, flatness, and pitch and yaw errors with allowance for off-standard ambient temperature and humidity. Position errors versus machine position can then be entered into a machine controller for compensation and plotted and stored using Windows-based software.
