Photonics design software

April 1, 1995
The pumping module of the Solstis photonics design software permits simulation of pumping of solid-state lasers with laser diodes. Stored energy density in the crystal is computed taking into account saturation and transition lifetime. The wavefront can be amplified by the medium, and prediction of the Q-switching mode is available.
