Speckle sensor

March 1, 1997
A 3-D miniaturized speckle sensor is designed for noncontact measurement of full-field deformations and strains with a sensitivity in the submicron range. The camera head measures 8 ¥ 8 ¥ 12 cm and weighs 2.5 kg. The sensor can be attached to universal testing machines, test benches, or components. Analysis software program ISTRA for Windows offers different graphic displays of results.
