The Universal Test Equipment system is designed with a variety of removable test boards, allowing the user to test a variety of optical and electro-optic characteristics. The equipment uses the same electronics and computer data-interface module for different test equipment applications and uses an external computer to process data. Standard boards include a backreflection meter, diode-laser driver and controller, diode-laser burn-in tester, polarization analyzer, variable attenuator, variable backreflector, tunable filter, and power meter. Software is available for each application. The company develops custom hardware and software for cus tomer applications.
